i had a really tiring evening with mws at nafa! it took us more than 3 hours to record Danceries... but i think it was pretty smooth on overall. in fact i think we sounded better than anytime we played that piece. anyway, had dinner with fangyu, yy & wenxiang... i miss going out with sp band people. missing out too many juicy news & tales already!
really wanna thank wenxiang for helping out this time. i really miss playing flute beside him... he should know why :p anyway, the amazing thing was, he only get to read the Danceries scores like 20mins before the recording.. hey, danceries is not easy! and he could play like anyone of us... in fact better than some of them.. i really wished he could play for the competition, but too bad he belongs to somewhere else so...:/ im sooo proud of him! he only picked up flute less than 3 years ago and he can play really well now. and even though he's a "phd", he's doing well with his work now (teaching primary school bands)... more like a career for him already. he can also play & repair many instruments, compose and arrange pieces.. and most importantly you can tell he really has the passion for music (and he's doing a good job).. and many other stuff.. makes me feel so tiny:/
im really proud of you wenxiang!! i wish you luck in everything you do.
i hope everyone is doing well tooo..... especially susy ho, who's at the other side of the world. see you guys soon
